Welcome to Sanderstead Parish
Our four churches serve distinct neighbourhoods and minister in different ways to the people of the parish. We rejoice in our diversity as churches - but rejoice even more in our unity, as we seek to serve God and our neighbour together.
We are a Church of England Parish in South London, part of the Diocese of Southwark and part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
For information about the events in life when the church is there to help, for baptisms, marriage and funerals, please follow the link to the Life Events page.

All Saints Church, Sanderstead
Whoever you are, and wherever you find yourself on your journey of faith, there is a place for you at All Saints’. We're Christians working together for the glory of God and serving the community of Sanderstead. We meet in a beautiful church where prayer and worship have been offered since the 13th century. Sunday services are at 8.30am and 10am. If you are completely new to church life and want to try something new, why not come along to Sanderstead Light, our monthly informal service which takes place in the church hall.
St Mary's Church, Sanderstead
St Mary's is an inclusive, warm and human community, enriched by people of all ages from 0 – 90+! We are here for everyone in the area, both week by week and at special moments in life. We offer excellent provision for children and young families, and new facilities accessible for all. Our common life is centred on the Sunday morning 10am Eucharist, through which we are fed to follow Jesus and to be God’s people in the world. Music, especially choral music, plays an important part in our worship, including the beauty and peace of weekly evensong. But we are not here just for Sundays.
There are regular opportunities to pray and to act together, to learn more about the Christian faith, and to socialise. And through the recent transformation of part of our church building, St Mary’s Seven Whole Days project is seeking to serve all local people by becoming a hub for activities building up community, care, culture and education across the area.
St Edmund's Church, Riddlesdown
St Edmund’s is a little over 50 years old and is a dual purpose building, used both as a church and community resource. Its congregation members are friendly and welcoming to all and are mainly resident in the local community. With Sunday services at 8 am and 9.15 am worship varies in style weekly.
St Antony's Church, Hamsey Green
St Antony’s celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2007. It is a dual purpose building, used both as a church and community resource. Its congregation members are of mixed ages and are mainly resident in the local community and surrounding areas. With a Sunday service at 11 am worship varies in style week by week.

The Sanderstead Parish Community

Worship with us
All our four churches provide many different opportunities to worship God in many different ways. From a Choral Eucharist at St Mary's to Sanderstead Light at All Saints, a quiet meditative Fresh Encounters evening, or a lively Family Communion. Visit each church's pages to discover more about how you can worship God in the services taking place in the Parish this week and in the coming months.

Care for each other
Caring for others in our local community and further afield is very important. In Sanderstead Parish we have a dedicated Care co-ordinator, we run a caring group with volunteers who are happy to take on tasks for those who find it difficult to get about on their own, we support a range of missionary charities, and are always aware of the needs of those around us.

Get involved
There are many ways to get involved with serving Christ, whatever gifts you may have, from joining the fair trade banana initiative, ringing handbells or singing in a choir to supporting Croydon's refugee day centre. House groups are a good way of getting to know Jesus, the Bible and each other, through fun, study and prayer, St Antony's K'Os group raises funds through drama, and all the churches have Cubs and Scouts, Brownie and Guide packs affiliated to them and toddler groups meet regularly. Come along and find out what's going on in our community.
