First Sunday of Lent (Luke 4:1-13)
February 22, 2010 by Andrew
Jack, the painter, would often thin his paint so it would go further. So, when the Church decided to do some overdue maintenance, Jack was able to put in the lowest quote, and as a result he got the job. As always, he thinned his paint right down with turpentine. Now, one day while he was up on the scaffolding the job almost finished he heard a terrible clap of thunder, and the sky opened. The downpour washed the thinned paint off the church and knocked Jack off his scaffold and onto the ground. Jack knew this was a warning from the Almighty, so, he got on his knees and cried out: Oh, God! Forgive me! What should I do? And from the sky, a mighty voice thundered: Repaint! And thin no more! Valentine’s Day: A Sermon for the Renewal of Wedding Vows (Mrs Sue Thomas)
February 14, 2010 by Guest

Most of the things we are going to explore are relevant to all of us as we reflect on married life, our love for each other, and also discover something of coming closer to Christ.
Those of you here celebrating your wedding vows all over again, can you remember those first steps up the aisle?
Do you remember saying your vows:
‘I take you… for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health…?
Can you remember how it was when you fell in love?
