Services at St Antony’s
My name is Susan Atkinson-Jones and I’m the parish priest of St Antony’s and St Edmund’s and also Team Vicar in the parish of Sanderstead.

St Antony’s celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2007.  It is a dual purpose building, used both as a church and community resource.  Its congregation members are of mixed ages and are mainly resident in the local community and surrounding areas.  With a Sunday service at 11 am worship varies in style week by week, some details are below.

If you want to come and meet some of us in an informal worship setting then why not come along at 6.30 pm on the first Sunday of the month to Reflections, where you will be welcomed with coffee and biscuits.

St Antony’s Fundraising Project

St Antony’s has been serving the community of Hamsey Green for the past 52 years, and is in regular use by the local community as both a worship centre and a community hall and we now face a major challenge: we need to raise about £160,000 to complete some essential repairs and improvements. Susan, the churchwardens and the people of St Antony’s are committed to this project. We ask for your prayers and support in the months ahead, and if you have any original fundraising ideas, please pass them on to Susan or the churchwardens.

The monthly pattern of Sunday Services at St Antony’s is as follows:

• 1st Sunday Family Service at 11 am A service designed for all ages to worship together and Reflections at 6.30 pm A cafe style gathering of informal worship and discussion with coffee and refreshments.
• 2nd Sunday Holy Communion at 11 am With hymns and songs.
• 3rd Sunday Morning Worship at 11 am A service of readings, singing and a sermon, mainly for adults.
• 4th Sunday Holy Communion at 11 am With hymns and songs.
• 5th Sunday United service with St Edmund’s see the table below for details of time and place.
