St. Mary’s is a growing Christian family united in our desire to grow as Christians in the power of the Holy Spirit. We hope that we can offer you a warm and individual welcome.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the revelation of God. He came to show us what God is like and how he wants us to live. His death and resurrection bring us new life, love and forgiveness. All we have to do is let Jesus into our hearts.

Sunday worship is at the heart of our church life. We have a number of different styles of Sunday service and groups that meet from time to time. Please allow us to help you feel “at home” as quickly as possible at St. Mary’s.

New to St. Mary’s?

The “Way In: step-by-stem” course aims to provide newcomers with an easy way into the life of the church.

It’s a one day course (10.00am - 2.30pm, including a light lunch) that looks at:

  • The Church
  • The Trinity
  • Giving and Receiving
  • Discipleship

At the end of the course there will be an opportunity to move on to other group courses, and meetings as you feel would most suit your needs.

Baptism (Christening) Enquiries

If you are thinking about a service of baptism or a service of thanksgiving for the birth arrival of your child, then please contact the Parish Priest or come along to Office hour in the church, every Wednesday, 6.00 - 7.00pm.

Alpha

Alpha is a 10 week course run once or twice a year. It is especially designed for those who would like to explore the Christian faith in a non-threatening way, often at a meal, with other people.

Youth Emmaus

Our young people (16 yrs and under) need valuing and nurturing in faith. Youth Emmaus is a 10 week course designed to be fun and challenging to young people wanting to be with other young people, have fun and learn more about God.

Social Events

Throughout the year there are social events that help us to “gel” as one family. Some things will appeal to people more than others! They are advertised in the notices sheets, “Cornerstone” (the parish Magaizine) and this web site. Previous events have included day trips, barn dances, theme nights, and picnics. They are times of fun and fellowshop, and all are welcome.
